We created a promotional video for sports recovery company Max Tape, providing video production and video editing to position the products on Amazon.
It was great to shoot the product as it was being used in real-time for the rugby game. It grounded the shoot in the action itself It was a fun challenge to contend with the elements and timings of the rugby game. It’s always tough when the shoot is part of an external event, balancing our agenda with the schedule, but our preparation and adaptability saw us through smoothly.

We collaborated with local rugby team Beckenham RFC (London, UK), putting the product through its paces shooting match day: from warm-up, preparation, training and a real match.
Our experience working in the industrial and manufacturing sector gives us a focused, targeted edge, our promotional materials are commercial and ready to promote technology products and services.
The footage was edited by our video editing team where we developed the pace specifically for Amazon promotion, this was not for selling on social media, this was to promote and power an Amazon storefront. Amazon has its own rhythm and presentation style which we obeyed, but broke the rules where we saw fit, to give energy and a fresh perspective.
Our videography team got great natural footage so my focus was to let those shots do the talking and shape the edit around that. The product in action is what customers need to see first. Working on my biggest Amazon ad so far really showed me how important it is to nail the pacing, instead of trying to hit every selling point it was about picking the key features, giving them breathing space and reinforcing them with real shots. Having a rugby setting as the basis of the video naturally helped convey the sense of resilience of the tape and made it great fun to experiment with shots and timing to get these ideas across. Making use of speed ramps, fluid transitions and kinetic typography allowed me to build on the energy captured in the footage and create an impactful, cohesive final piece.
