LiveUP Media Joins the YC Startup Partner Directory for 3D Company Films
LiveUP Media now has an official deal listed in the Y Combinator (YC) partner directory, giving YC founders a direct route to our specialist 3D company film service (Frontier 3D Company Film for Startups Still Building)

Eligible YC-funded companies and companies founded by YC alumni receive 50% off our Frontier Film package for two years from redemption.
We are a deep tech video agency creating 3D animation and startup company films for advanced manufacturing, physical AI, robotics, aerospace and other frontier technologies. Our work shows the capability a company is developing, its relevance across industries and what becomes possible at scale.
The listing brings us closer to the work we want to be doing: working directly with frontier teams at the source, while the machines, materials and systems they are developing are still taking shape.
Working with founders who build their own answer
There is a particular kind of company we are drawn to. The founders have encountered a constraint, understood it deeply and started building a way around it.
That might mean developing a new manufacturing process because existing methods restrict what engineers can make. It might mean giving factory equipment new capabilities through physical AI, or making production possible closer to where a component is needed.
Those are the questions that interest us. They concern how things are made, how quickly a useful capability can be deployed and who can access it.
Allan and Arran bring backgrounds in computing and technical systems to LiveUP. We recognise the independence involved in learning what a problem demands and getting on with the work. It is part of why we enjoy working with engineer-founders and scientist-founders who are building something unusual.
A company film for your next raise or launch
A founder can be deep into development while an entirely different clock starts running. Investor conversations are beginning. A public launch is approaching. A potential customer has asked to see more.
Your company needs a public presence that can support those conversations.
Our core format is a 60-second 3D company film. It gives someone encountering the business a clear sense of what you are building, why it matters and where it could go.
We begin with the industry problem and the capability your technology introduces. For a manufacturing company, that might be a component that becomes practical to produce, a shorter route from design to production, or a new material opening up applications across several sectors.
The engineering gives the film its substance. Creative judgment determines what to show, what needs context and how much to leave for the viewer to explore.
There should be room for anticipation. A company doing difficult work can give people enough to understand the opportunity and still leave them curious about what comes next.
Bringing the scale of the work into view
Our company films for Uplift, Lightmill and PAKT3D show how that thinking takes different forms.
With Uplift, we built the film around disaster relief and emergency response: the movement, deployment and reuse of housing at scale. The microhome sits within a wider picture of how shelter can reach people when and where it is needed.
For Lightmill, the film introduces large-format laser milling and the manufacturing opportunity it represents, including the potential to reduce the time needed to produce metal parts.
For PAKT3D, we brought high-performance polymer manufacturing into the worlds it can serve, including motorsport, automotive and marine. The film gives the company’s engineering capability an industrial context.
You can see these projects in our Bay Area portfolio.
3D video production from briefing to first draft
Founders should be able to hand over a company film with confidence.
We start with a short briefing and whatever material you already have. That may include CAD files, Blender assets, prototype footage, engineering references, a pitch deck or early ideas for the film.
We establish what you are building, who needs to understand it and what is happening next for the company. Then we take responsibility for the research, creative direction, script, 3D development, animation and sound.
You receive a developed first draft to review, with room to give feedback and refine the result. Your team can keep its attention on building the company while we develop the film.
Working in 3D also lets us show environments and applications that would be difficult to film during early development. We can place a technology in the setting it is being designed for and show how deployment could work at scale.
That makes this approach useful for teams still building their first machine, developing a new material or preparing to emerge from stealth.
Find the LiveUP Media deal in the YC partner directory
YC founders can find our company film offer by searching for LiveUP Media in the YC partner directory. The listing contains the deal details and redemption information.
We work remotely with technical founders in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and across the US, as well as companies in the UK and elsewhere.
If you are preparing a raise, a company launch or an important commercial milestone, send us a line about what you are building and what is coming up. We will recommend the film, its scope and the creative direction.
